4/19/2023 0 Comments Subaru etunes![]() ![]() I found Shinji on Cobb website as cobb certify tuner, as I was looking for e-tuner back with first car, I contacted about 5 of them, asking same question and asking for opinion, reply timing and communication was a key in choosing tuner, if tuner not willing to talk to you and answer questions or very short on answers, sorry. ShinjiTuned already tuned two of my Subaru's, fully built bugeye and now full forged built 2012 WRX/sti swap, and here is my experience. Without paying manufactures mark up for say an STI. It's crazy how a few grand can turn your car into what it was supposed to be from the factory. I'm more than satisfied with my overall investment of mods and tune. Each revision just got faster and smoother with my car. Starting with basemap-1 to 9, I never had a DAM below 1. I'll post my results when the time comes and let everyone know whatever happens from this point on. We'll have to see where this goes in the future. As well as, I will more than likely either get another ETUNE for comparisons sake. I will rock this tune for a minute and see what happens in terms of longetivity/reliability. BUT, I understand he's a hella busy guy and the world doesn't revolve around me.lol. However, since he was unresponsive I figured not to ask. Like a Perrin Turbo Inlet, and a Blox Racing Charge Pipe. I would've like to ask about some other mods I'm interested in adding. I tried asking a question with no response. He is kinda lacking in the communications department. I guess I was lucky as compared to other peoples cars taking hella revisions. I only had 9 revisions for my full Flex Tune. I can say he's definitely fast and sends you revisions pretty much daily. So over all it was worth it to me to go with AMBOT. I don't have to worry about mixing fuels anymore because I'm Flex Fuel. I only have estimates but she is Waaaayyyy faster then what I originally was working with. ![]() I don't know what my car is actually making in terms of HP/TQ. My AMBOT tune just keeps pulling in every gear like there's no end to it. The E30 tune was hella cool but i noticed my car would kinda choke so to speak when really getting on it. I would suggest doing the above mods I did and getting a tune from AMBOT. But for anyone on the fence about upgrading bolt ons and tune. Which I know is not a very good comparison. The only other tune I have to compare this one to is an OTS STAGE-1/E30 from MAperformance. I wanted power from my Subie at all levels. I went with AMBOT because of this thread. ![]()
